So to summarize, if you are playing for fun and fitness, then for sure you can workout on the day of a game, but avoid doing your stamina workout on the same day.
If you play at a higher level where you are competing for ice time, then do not workout before a game (unless doing a little speed routine is part of your game day ritual), but you could workout after a game.
