If you are not familiar with the term “Mobility Deficit”, then you better read on and watch the video. Then do the test yourself.
Remember a few weeks ago I mentioned that I would be going with a weekly theme for my articles (trying it out at least), well there were some good suggestions and a lot of them had to do with flexibility, so I thought I would start off with a broad view of mobility and then down the road zero in on specific joints. Sound fair?
Do you understand how mobility is different from flexibility?
In the video, the first movement is my flexibility, the second movement (where I rock back) is a demonstration of mobility and the difference between the two is my Mobility Deficit.
This is the area where you are vulnerable to injury.
Where you can use your bodyweight to get you into a position that your muscles cannot get you out of.
Here is what I mean – watch the vid…
I hope that makes sense – if you have questions, ask in the comments section below please. My personal email gets swamped and I often miss your questions.
Cheers,

PS – here’s a little secret – with every 50 members who join the Shutout Academy, I bump up the price by $10 per month. Here is another secret, we are quickly closing in on another 50 member threshold, so sometime (my guess is by the end of the week or so) in the near future, the price for this semi-private coaching group will go up by $10 per month or $120 per year (good math eh?). I know for some of you $10 isn’t a big deal, but I can think of lots of things I could do with $10 – namely buy a used copy of U2 Boy from the record store – so I just wanted to give fair warning if it was something you were thinking of doing anyway.
PPS – if you get in now your monthly rate will never go up you will be locked in forever at the lower rate 🙂
