Happy Monday! This post has nothing to do with training for hockey, it has everything to do with thinking about what makes you happy. So here, in no particular order are my top 10 favourite things that sprang to the front of my head this morning…
- Being warm and dry – I learned an appreciation for this during my four summers working as a tree planter in University.
- Seeing athletes achieve success, whatever that means to them.
- Spending time with Paul.
- The sound of one person skating in an arena.
- Hearing a crowd sing the national anthem.
- Traveling.
- Coming home.
- Achieving my goals.
- Starbucks.
- Exercising to exhaustion – running, biking, lifting, skiing, snowboarding, hiking – whatever.
I would love it if you would post one of your favourite things in the ‘Comments’ section below. I think it is a good practice to think about the things that make us happy, because I think there are so many people out there who only think about what makes them miserable and that must make every day a downer.
Catch you later – I will be back with some actual hockey training tips next time 🙂
Cheers,
M
