Here are your four key exercises that you can do at home without special equipment. Include these as part of your off-ice training workouts or on-ice warm-up to help you maintain your edge and react faster:
- Quick Impulse Lateral Hop: 2-3 sets of 6ea
- Low Lateral Hop Lead Leg: 2-3 sets of 10ea
- Low Lateral Hop Trail Leg: 2-3 sets of 10 ea
- Quickstep Lateral Hop: 2-3 sets of 4ea
You don’t need any equipment, but if you’re ready to level up, use a light medicine ball as a challenge. Getting across the crease to stop those big east-west and backdoor passes will be faster than ever!
