Off Ice Goalie Training: Dynamic strength exercises to reduce the risk of groin strain.

This is a follow up to the post last week about how hockey goalies can add diagonal patterns to their stretching routine to reduce the risk of groin strains.  This video takes it one step forward by showing goalies some new strengthening exercises that will make them stronger, but also reduce their risk of groin strain.

Remember to start and progress slowly.  These exercises look quite simple, but they are actually very demanding.
Cheers,
Maria

P.S. – now is the time to be working on your off-season training program.  The gains you make this summer will lead to your best season ever.  If you agree that hockey goalies have some special off ice training requirements that are not satisfied with a general training program, then check out the Ultimate Goalie Training System.
