Hockey Goalie Training Pro Q&A – 11.21.24 –Unlocking the Comfort of the RVH and Introducing the Butterfly Challenge Pro Clinic

In this week’s Goalie Training Pro TV live Q&A session, Maria shared some exciting updates and insights for goalies. Let’s dive into the key highlights:

1. Video on 5 Ways to Make the RVH More Comfortable: – Maria recently posted a video on her YouTube channel, Goalie Training Pro TV, discussing 5 ways to make the Reverse-Vertical Hybrid (RVH) significantly more comfortable for goalies. – While the RVH may not be a position you can “sit in all day,” these 5 tips can help make it a more manageable and comfortable technique to use. – The video is available on Maria’s YouTube channel, and the link is in her Instagram bio for easy access.

2. Announcing the Butterfly Challenge Pro Clinic: – Instead of a Black Friday sale, Maria is offering a free 5-day virtual clinic called the Butterfly Challenge Pro. – This clinic will focus on the first two pillars of the Net Nexus 5 method for developing goalies: Mobile Max and Stable Force. – The first day will be a deep dive into the new Butterfly Challenge 4.0, with technical tips and insights. – Subsequent days will explore topics like breathing and its impact on hip mobility and spinal posture. – The clinic is pre-recorded, allowing participants to access the content on their own time during the 5-day period. – To register, interested goalies should DM Maria on Instagram with the word “clinic,” and she will send the link to reserve their spot. Maria will cap the number of participants to keep the group focused and engaged.

3. All Access Hockey Newsletter: – Maria’s friend, Mike Valley, who has extensive experience as an NHL goaltending coach, has started a free email newsletter called “All Access Hockey.” – This newsletter aims to provide valuable information and guidance for hockey families, especially with the recent changes to NCAA rules. – Goalies and their families are encouraged to sign up at AllAccessHockey.com to receive the latest updates and insights from Mike Valley.

4. Pregame Warm-up Tools: – When asked about her favorite pregame warm-up tools, Maria highlighted a few options, including the lacrosse ball (used with the goalie glove), the catch ball (a tennis ball attached to a bungee cord), and exercises focusing on the ocular motor reflex. – The catch ball, in particular, is a versatile tool that allows goalies to work on their reflexes and movement without the risk of the ball getting lost.
