3 must do goalie exercises for in-season training

IF…you were only going to do 3 exercises during your goalie workouts this in-season, these would be them.

Now, I know you are not only going to do three exercises all in-season (are you?)…but if you are, these are them 🙂

When I try to pick only three, I need to go with what I call “Big Bang” exercises. These are exercises that combine more than one target attribute at the same time. That could be flexibility and stability, could be strength and balance or power and core training.

You will see exactly what I mean here >>

How many?

  • Power Step Up – do 2-3 sets of 4-6 reps on each side – remember to drive with power
  • Pigeon Flow – do 2 sets of 2-3 each leg – go slowly
  • Knee Down Lateral Shuffle – do 2-3 sets of 4 each way – focus on a quite torso.

So, if you do nothing else this season for your off-ice goalie training, at least do these three exercises – you actually will notice a difference.

Try it and see for yourself – I promise, they will work.  If you found this helpful and would like three more ways to maximize your performance this season (even if you skimped on your off-season training a bit), then CLICK HERE.
