I know there are some of you who are out there playing for new teams this season and the last thing you want to do is lose the confidence of your coaches and teammates as the season progresses.
You need to stay sharp – you need to keep earning every minute between the pipes because once you show that you are not worthy, you know there is another guy or gal, just waiting to take your place.
Look how quickly the summer went past? That was fast!
So you believe me when I tell you that before you know it, you will be heading into critical games, showcase tournaments and play-offs.
The decisions you make now, early in the year will lay the foundation for your entire season.
Letting things slide because you are busy with tryouts, games and life away from the rink will put you right behind the eight-ball come play-offs, instead of taking a strategic approach to your in-season training and gaining momentum each and every game.
I want you to succeed – even if you slacked a bit on your off-season training, I still want you to be skating to centre ice as the championship MVP. So let me give you three exercises that you must do this in-season to improve your mobility, strength and agility.
Maintenance is not a goal – progress is.
If you do them all, it will only take you about 5-minutes.

How Many? How Much?
- Do 5 reps with a 10s hold for the Hip Internal Rotation
- Do 3 reps on each side for the Squat Jump + Lateral Hop
- Do 20-30 reps with a one second pause at the top for the Glute Bridge
Don’t let it slide.
Cheers,
M

You are not satisfied with ‘maintaining’. Heck, you don’t want to stunt your development for the next 6-months, you want to keep getting better right?
So I have hidden this at the bottom, where only the most diligent will find it – ->> from right now until midnight on Monday, August 31st, I have knocked over 30% off the my goalie specific in-season training program.
