Early Off Season Exercises For Ice Hockey Goalies

Did you have a successful season between the pipes?  Are you looking to build off your success and take your off season hockey goalie training to the next level?  Here are four exercises that will set your entire off-season up for success, PLUS A BONUS DRILL, so stick around until the end.

After your two week unloading phase, you will go into your base phase for 3-4 weeks.

Here is what we covered but remember – THIS ISN’T A FULL WORKOUT, BUT THESE EXERCISES SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN YOUR BASE PHASE

– Supine Oblique Hip Flexor Activation – 2 x 6ea (3s push)

– Side Plank From Elbow – 2 x 60-90s each (see optional Side Plank From Knee w Leg Lift)

– Side Lying Hip CARs – 2 x 2ea (slowly)

– Rock Back SuperDog – 2 x 6ea (3s hold)

– BONUS – Wall Slide – 2 x 6 (3s hold)
