Off-Ice Goalie Drill for Crease Backside Recovery
I have a new off-ice goalie drill for you today – yes, you do get to wear your knee pads and hockey socks around for this one. My goal with this dryland drill was to help you with your backside recovery, to help you maintain level shoulders as you move laterally and to provide an off-ice goalie drill that would help you transition from your butterfly back up to the ready position.

Bottom Up Dryland Goalie Training: The Hip

Bottom Up Dryland Goalie Training: The Knee
Continuing on with our bottom up approach to dryland goalie training today we will move up to the knee. The knee is fantastic and bending and straightening (flexion and extension), that is its forte. The knee is not great at rotating or side bending. So the goal of training is not only to maximize its performance in the strong positions, but also to train the muscles that will help keep it out of its vulnerable positions.
